ScanFood: Terms of Use
Effective date: October 4, 2026
By downloading or using ScanFood, you agree to these terms. The app is published by Jérémy Roustang (GLILAB). On iOS, Apple's Standard End User License Agreement also applies.
1. Subscription
- A ScanFood Premium subscription is required to use the app. Two plans are offered: yearly or weekly. The price is shown in the app before you confirm the purchase.
- Eligible new subscribers to the yearly plan get a 7-day free trial. At the end of the trial, your Apple or Google Play account is charged the yearly price unless you cancel before the trial ends. The weekly plan has no free trial.
- The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period (year or week) unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. The renewal is charged within the 24 hours before the end of the period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple account settings or in Google Play (Payments and subscriptions). Uninstalling the app does not cancel the subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies.
2. ScanFood score, allergens and product information
Product details come from Open Food Facts, a collaborative database. They may be incomplete, outdated or inaccurate. The ScanFood score is an indication computed from this data (nutrition, additives, processing, organic label); it is not a medical, nutritional or health assessment.
Allergen alerts depend on the information available for each product and can miss an allergen. If you have an allergy or an intolerance, always check the ingredient list and allergen information printed on the packaging. The app does not replace the advice of a doctor or dietitian.
3. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable license to use the app on devices you own or control. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer or redistribute the app. The app, its design, the ScanFood score method and its trademarks remain the property of Jérémy Roustang (GLILAB).
4. Your contributions
When you add a missing product, you confirm that the photos and details you send are yours to share and contain no personal information. They are published by Open Food Facts under its own licenses. Do not use the app for unlawful purposes.
5. Availability and liability
The app is provided "as is". Most features need an internet connection, and your mobile operator's charges may apply. We may update the app or stop providing it. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages arising from the use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory consumer rights.
6. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms. The new version is posted on this page with its effective date. These terms are governed by French law.

ScanFood : conditions d'utilisation
Date d'effet : 4 octobre 2026
2. Note ScanFood, allergènes et informations produit
